Chinese Southern Belle, LLC on Women Who Own It Podcast
Hosted by Allison Maslan (self-made entrepreneur, author, and business mentor), this podcast is for and by women, serving as a stage for female entrepreneurs to share valuable insight into their business journey. In this episode, Natalie shares her experience and expertise in integrating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion priorities and challenges in the specialty foods industry--and in life.
Chinese Southern Belle is an award-winning, minority-woman owned small business that “opens minds, one mouth at a time" through fun, interactive food and cultural experiences; story-telling; cooking demos, and a unique, all natural, fusion line of Asian-Southern cooking sauces. But none of these accomplishments happened overnight. Natalie's perseverance in the competitive world of natural products is interwoven with her passion for "making the world a better place through food and culture," a journey that began as a young student activist at Vassar College. Chinese Southern Belle breaks egg rolls--and stereotypes--while supporting local artisans, local and minority-owned farmers and giving back to the community.
Stay tuned: Natalie shares more tips on how restaurants and the food industry can take action to support diversity and inclusion in their establishments and the community. (Restaurant Informer magazine, September 2020 cover article).
